On December 3rd, 2015, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a joint action of the Office for Students with Disabilities and the Student Performance College of Babeș-Bolyai University will take place to raise disability awareness and promote positive attitudes towards diversity. Together with the students, Mugur Pop, president of the Discover Nature Association, UBB collaborator in various educational (UBB-USAMV CN Human-Animal Interaction Days, horse riding for students) and research (therapy and activities assisted by horses towards sensory integration and improving communication skills of children with autism) programs will be present. Through his actions, Mugur Pop promotes respect for life, including people with different forms of disabilities, emphasizing the idea that animals offer models of unconditional acceptance and simplicity in interacting with humans, regardless of their physical or social condition. In the lecture Disability (un)seen through the eyes of animals, we will have the opportunity to discover with Mugur Pop such attitudes and behaviours drawn from experience with animals and humans.

Admission is free. We are waiting for you.
