The UBB Office for Students with Disabilities operates within the UBB Rector’s office, with the objectives of facilitating and supporting the inclusion of students with diverse learning needs in university life, as well as informing teachers and students about accessibility and disability. In this direction, BSD offers a series of educational events on accessibility (physical and social), some of them with the participation of foundations, associations and institutions (national and international) actively involved in ensuring a barrier-free life for people with disabilities.
During this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn about and deepen their understanding of social and interactional models of disability and their applications in everyday life. From the perspective of these models, disability stems from the interaction people have with the society in which they live, i.e. from their exposure to barriers, marginalization, isolation, segregation in cultural, educational, economic or political terms.
We are waiting for you with tea, coffee and other goodies, at the BSD headquarters (Dorm III, ground floor, Hasdeu Student Complex).
