BSD offers a series of educational events on physical and social accessibility, some of them with guest speakers from foundations, associations and institutions actively involved in ensuring a barrier-free life.
On 27 April 2016, for the second time at Babeș-Bolyai University, Mrs Olga Meier-Popa, Director of the Office for Students with Disabilities of the University of Zurich, Switzerland, will be present. The BSD of the University of Zurich, founded in 1976, is the oldest office of its kind in German-speaking Europe. Its activities and achievements, as well as its working methods, have developed over the years within the specific social-political and legal framework. In the lecture Accessibility at the University, a series of actions to raise awareness among teachers and administrative staff on accessibility and curricular adaptations for students with disabilities will be presented.
