Sitting Volleyball Program

Posted on 18 June 2014 by Marian Padure

Volei Sezand

Sitting Volleyball Program – coordinator: Prof. Dr. Alexandru Mureșan (UBB). Students with motor disabilities who wish to be trained to practice this form of volleyball are asked to announce their intention either by phone (0745.686.004), or by email: ducumuresan@yahoo.com. When a group of at least four people is formed, training will start in the Geleriu sports hall (Iuliu Hațieganu Park).

SITTING VOLEYBALL is a variant of volleyball provided for people with special needs or disabilities. The execution technique is adapted to the possibilities and the creativity of the coach is limited. Players move to the ball by supporting themselves on their hands and feet: two hands two feet; one hand one foot and other forms of movement characteristic of each player. The consistency of actions and preparation are determined by the rules of the game.
